GC.com works for me.

I have found several on accident.

One last weekend in fact was within 3 feet of a cache. Cache hiders problem as the letterbox has been there for many a year.

Do you ever log Letterboxes when you find them (not the one's listed on GC.com)?

No, I don't think I have even logged but one or two of the GC.com ones.

I guess I should make a stamp one of these days.

Yes, I have logged few. Only one or two did I go and look for intentionally. Once I found a letterbox in the same tree as a geocache was hidden in. I found the letterbox first since it was larger and easier to spot than the micro. I was really confused at first since I knew I was looking for a micro and there was a regular sized container in my hands.

We even made a stamp but it bumped around in the cache bag for so long it finally disintegrated.

We found a couple of them by accident in Colorado, but never logged them anywhere... they look like fun though. I had some friends in CO who were really into letterboxing.

I enjoy some aspects of Letterboxing. For example using clues rather than GPSr coordinates (not that there's anything wrong with that), but overall it's way too much work to gather information about the nearest Letterboxes and then go find them. This is where GC.com really shines. The ability to download a file of up to 500 caches in one action. There are geocaches that rely on clues, as well as whereigo's which I've yet to do (simply because I use a Palm and not MS based device), but trying to deal with an Excel file or CSV text file is a pain. I have found a way to collect one letterbox at a time and load it on my Palm, but that is way too much work to do consistently. I prefer geocaching.

My favorite clue-based geocache is Frecky's Architecture and Design Adventure (GCCC8E) up in Seattle.
